Probing core overshooting using subgiant asteroseismology: The case of KIC10273246

The size of convective cores remains uncertain, despite its substantial influence on stellar evolution, and thus ages. seismic modeling young subgiants can be used to obtain indirect constraints the core structure during main sequence, thanks high probing potential mixed modes. We selected subgiant KIC10273246, observed by Kepler, based mixed-mode properties. thoroughly modeled this star, with aim placing sequence core. first extracted parameters oscillation modes star using full Kepler data set. To overcome challenges posed subgiants, we proposed a method which is specifically tailored for consists in nested optimization. then applied perform detailed KIC10273246. obtained models that show good statistical agreements observations, both non-seismic. showed including overshooting significantly improves quality fit, optimal being found $\alpha_{\mathrm{ov}} = 0.15$. Higher amounts strongly worsen agreement observations are firmly ruled out. also having access two g-dominated allows us place stronger gradient molecular weight central density. This study confirms investigate main-sequence cores. It paves way more general TESS, eventually PLATO.
